BELL

日本の提灯の機能性を転用して新しいモバイルライトが作れないかと考え制作した。提灯はろうそくを中に入れて、家の前に吊り下げたり、出かける際に持ち歩いたりと、シーンを固定せず流動的に使用される。そうした機能性をヒントに、ベースを交換することで、フロアライトや壁掛け式、スタンドライトなど、さまざまなスタイルで使用できるライトをデザインした。

Drawing inspiration from the diversity of traditional Japanese lanterns, chochin, we have designed a new portable light, "BELL". Japanese lanterns, whether hung in front of homes or carried around, exhibit a flexible usage across varied contexts. "BELL" mirrors this versatility with its tri-purpose design, functioning as a floor light, a wall light, or a stand light, adapting to the user's needs and environment. In its design, BELL embodies the charm and practicality of traditional lanterns combined with a modern aesthetic.
